Born in Moscow and a soloist with the Omsk Philharmonic at age 14, Irina subsequently moved to the United States and continued her studies at the Manhattan School of Music and Juilliard. She is now an international soloist in the U.S, South America, and across Europe.
In this concert, Irina plays the composers of her native Russia Rachmaninov, Scriabin, Prokofiev, with “lyric passion and effortless virtuosity” WFMT. In the same program her treatment of French composers Ravel and Fauré is both elegant and evocative.
